The rims

The ELITE HELIX road bike wheels benefit from cutting-edge technology, with a variable and differentiated rim depth between the front and rear wheels. This unique design ensures excellent aerodynamic penetration while minimizing the impact of crosswinds on your riding. The 21mm internal width is ideal for 700x25 to 38C tires, offering a perfect balance between rolling resistance and comfort. The glossy marbled black finish adds a touch of elegance. Available in three rim depths, each HELIX wheel version is defined by its specific performance program.

The 46D version features a 39-43 mm rim profile for the front wheel and a 42-46 mm profile for the rear wheel. They represent the ideal standard for alpine wheels. Perfect for climbing, they were designed to easily conquer steep slopes while excelling in sprints thanks to their remarkable lightness of only 1280 g per pair.

The 57D version features a 47-52 mm profile for the front wheel and a 52-57 mm profile for the rear wheel. This is the most versatile profile. It's the best choice for cyclists looking for a balance between aerodynamics and lightness for climbs, flats, and everything in between.

The 68D version features a 55-61 mm profile for the front wheel and a 62-68 mm profile for the rear. They were designed to be the perfect deep-section aerodynamic wheelset. They have been optimized not only for fast riding but also for stability in the windiest conditions.

The rays

We selected the Drive Helix SS wheels for their unparalleled quality. Every aspect of their design has been meticulously considered. Equipped with Sapim CX-Ray aerodynamic spokes, these wheels combine lightness and strength, with an average weight of only 4.4 g per spoke.

These spokes are highly prized, not only by cycling enthusiasts but also by professionals worldwide, whether for road, gravel, or mountain biking. Renowned for their performance and durability, Sapim CX-Ray spokes are considered the benchmark for steel spokes.

The hubs

What makes the Surface hub unique is its star ratchet engagement system, which the brand has used for years on their mountain bike and end-mountain wheels. Like all other hubs from the brand, the Surface hub is manufactured by ELITE using five-axis CNC machines.

High-precision TPI steel bearings were chosen to improve longevity and reduce rolling resistance. TPI bearings are precise and have low rolling resistance, putting them on par with some ceramic bearings. While high-quality bearings are important, bearing seat fit is also critical. CNC machines can precisely machine bearing seats with extremely tight tolerances of 0.02 mm, ensuring a perfect bearing fit, reducing rolling resistance, and further extending bearing life.
