The rims

The ELITE HELIX road bike wheels feature cutting-edge technology, with a variable depth differentiated between the front and rear wheels. This unique design ensures excellent air penetration while limiting the impact of a crosswind on your ride. The 21 mm internal width is ideal for tires from 700×25 to 38C, offering a perfect balance between rolling resistance and comfort. The glossy marbled black finish adds a touch of elegance. Available in three heights, each version of the HELIX wheel is defined by its own specific program.

The 46D version has a profile of 39-43 mm for the front and 42-46 mm for the rear wheel. They are the ideal standard for alpine wheels. They are perfect for climbing. They have been designed to overcome steep slopes with ease while excelling in sprints thanks to their remarkable lightness at only 1280 g for the pair.

The 57D version has a 47-52 mm profile for the front and 52-57 mm for the rear wheel. They are the most versatile profile. It's the best choice for cyclists looking for a balance between aerodynamics and lightness for climbs, flats, and everything in between.

The 68D version has a 55-61 mm profile for the front and 62-68 mm for the rear wheel. They were designed to be the perfect deep-section aerodynamic wheelset. They have been optimized not only for fast riding, but also for stability in the windiest conditions.

The rays

We selected the Drive Helix SS wheels for their unrivaled quality. Every aspect of their design has been carefully considered. Equipped with Sapim CX-Ray aerodynamic spokes, these wheels combine lightness and strength, with an average weight of just 4.4g per spoke.

These spokes are highly sought after not only by cycling enthusiasts, but also by professionals around the world, whether for road, gravel, or mountain biking. Recognized for their performance and durability, Sapim CX-Ray spokes are considered the benchmark in steel spokes.

The hubs

What makes the Surface hub unique is its star ratchet engagement system, which the brand has been using for years on their MTB and TT wheels. Like all of the brand's other hubs, the Surface hub is manufactured by ELITE using five-axis CNC machines.

High-precision TPI steel bearings were chosen to improve longevity and reduce rolling resistance. TPI bearings are precise and have low rolling resistance, putting them on par with some ceramic bearings. While high-quality bearings are important, bearing seat fit is also critical. CNC machines can precisely machine bearing seats with extremely tight tolerances of 0.02 mm, ensuring a perfect bearing fit, reducing rolling resistance, and further improving bearing life.
