HUTCHINSON Python TLR Race gravel/mtb tire

The Python Race is the race tire from Hutchinson’s Racing Lab, and it embodies the future of competitive gravel: high volume that rolls fast. Designed for XC, it is regularly found on monster gravel bikes and modern race gravel setups with generous tire clearance. In 29x2.4 (57-622), it fits on the same rims as 700c wheels. On rough terrain, volume makes all the difference: a supple, compliant casing rolls faster than a narrow tire that takes every impact head-on. At 600 g, with an ultra-low-profile center tread and the Race Ripost XC compound, it retains pure race-tire performance in both dry and wet conditions. Made in France.

Compatibility

The Python Race is a Tubeless Ready 29-inch tire (ETRTO 57-622, 29x2.4). It mounts on 29" and 700c rims, hooked or hookless, using suitable tubeless rim tape and sealant. The 2.4 width (approx. 61 mm mounted) requires adequate tire clearance: monster gravel bikes, wide-clearance gravel race bikes, and XC mountain bikes.
