A 29-inch carbon mountain bike wheelset designed for Cross-Country and Trail, featuring an asymmetric rim with a 30 mm internal width. It stabilizes tires at low pressures without lateral casing deformation.
The Elitewheels Pro36 wheelset features a hookless asymmetric Toray T700 and T800 carbon rim layout, utilizing a 2.8 mm offset to balance tension between spoke beds. With a 30 mm internal width, this architecture optimizes tire casing profiles for modern 2.2" to 2.7" tires, eliminating lateral squirm during high-load cornering.
Key Features
The asymmetric rim architecture integrates 38 carbon fiber layers specifically concentrated around the spoke holes to prevent Sapim Secure Lock nipple pull-through.
Internal walls are formed using removable inflation bladders without chemical solvents, eliminating structural bladder residue and minimizing peripheral weight.
Elitewheels Pro hubs utilize a 36-tooth star ratchet mechanical engagement system, simplifying routine maintenance intervals without requiring proprietary tooling.
The wheelset is built with 28 Sapim CX-Ray spokes per wheel in a 3-cross pattern to maximize torsional stiffness under acceleration.
Compatibility
These wheels can be configured for Boost spacing (15x110 mm front / 12x148 mm rear), standard Thru-Axle (15x100 mm / 12x142 mm), or classic Quick Release. Freehub bodies are available for Shimano HG, SRAM XD, or Shimano Micro Spline cassette interfaces, alongside Center Lock or 6-bolt disc rotor mounts.
This wheelset is strictly excluded from electric mountain bike (eMTB) applications, as motor torque outputs exceed the structural tolerances of the ratchet system. Maximum allowable tire pressure is rated at 3.4 bar (50 psi). Need advice? Contact us.
