Ritchey WCS Switch Upper Headset IS52
Engineered specifically for the Ritchey Switch cable integration system, this upper headset enables clean internal routing of mechanical cables, wires, and hydraulic lines from the cockpit directly into the frame. The single-piece design combining the compression ring and top cover eliminates side load on the cartridge bearing, preserving steering precision. Selected by our workshop to streamline front ends without introducing maintenance friction.
Key Points
Optimized technical design for internal hose and cable routing without interfering with headset bearing performance. Fluid integration via dedicated channels guiding brake lines through interlocking Switch spacers into the headtube. Lightweight and durable composite construction providing excellent corrosion resistance at the frame's highest interface. Premium sealed cartridge bearing ensuring smooth, lasting steering rotation under axial and radial loads. Modular system supplied with two 5mm interlocking spacers for precise cockpit stack height adjustments.
Compatibility
This upper assembly strictly adheres to the S.H.I.S. IS52/28.6 standard, designed for 1-1/8” threadless steerer tubes and 1.5” straight or tapered headtubes. Installation mandatory requires an 8.7mm bearing insertion depth within the headtube seat. Operation is strictly restricted to the Ritchey Switch ecosystem, utilizing the matching Switch stem and custom interlocking spacers.
Internal geometry dictates a rigorous measurement check of your headtube dimensions prior to pressing the bearing. For any layout validation or compatibility analysis with your CYKL titanium frame, contact our workshop. Need expert advice? Write to us.
