Why replace my carbon fork with titanium?

Carbon is lightweight but often feels harsh or vague under load. Grade 9 titanium offers superior vibration damping that reduces fatigue, while our Tri-Process construction provides lateral stiffness that makes steering much more predictable and reassuring at high speeds.

Is the fork truly "indestructible"?

Titanium is inherently much more resistant to impacts and fatigue than carbon. With EN 14781 certification and our 3D printing and forging processes, this fork is designed to last a lifetime, even under heavy use while fully loaded.

What is the impact of the additional weight on handling?

The ~200g difference compared to a carbon fork shifts the mass downwards. This lowering of the center of gravity stabilizes the bike and makes it easier to position the front wheel in tight corners. You gain a planted feel without losing responsiveness.

Is it compatible with dynamo hubs?

Yes, the semi-internal routing version was designed for long-distance riders. It allows for clean cable routing to power your lighting or devices via a dynamo hub.

Can the CYKL titanium fork be mounted on a titanium frame from another brand?

Yes, provided the frame uses the same standards. The points to check are: - Tapered steerer 1"½ – 1"⅛ - Front thru-axle 100x12 mm - Flat mount braking standard - Head tube and front triangle clearance for tires up to 47C (395 mm) or 55C (410 mm) - Original axle-to-crown length of the current fork, to be compared with 395 or 410 mm If these elements match, the GRAAVE fork can be mounted on another brand's titanium frame without compromising safety. It remains recommended to check tire/frame clearance and final cockpit height, especially for heavily loaded or demanding use. If in doubt, contact the CYKL team.

Tri-Process Manufacturing

With our Tri-Process manufacturing method, we solved the main flaw of early titanium forks: the lack of stiffness. By combining 3D printing, forging, and hydroforming of titanium, we achieve an ultra-stiff, responsive structure, even under heavy bikepacking loads. Naturally immune to corrosion and mechanical fatigue, titanium gives this fork truly indestructible durability. Once you get used to this level of responsiveness and reliability, switching back to a carbon fork will leave the front end of your bike feeling vague and fragile.

Titanium anodizing

Anodizing is done to order in our workshop. An electrolytic bath colors the titanium at the structural level without paint or coating: the color is part of the metal itself, meaning it won't chip or scratch off. It is a living finish: oils enhance color saturation, while rain softens its tones. Every single piece is unique.
