SRAM RED® XG-1290 Cassette

Introducing the SRAM RED® XG-1290 cassette, a key component of the revolutionary Deep Range™ technology. This 12-speed cassette is specifically designed for wireless electronic shifting, improving shifting performance. It features a 10-tooth cog, providing a wider gear range.

The SRAM RED® XG-1290 features an updated design for smoother, faster shifting. It offers a smooth shifting pattern between the cassette cogs, with at least five single-tooth jumps each, while maintaining a wider gear range.

This cassette is compatible with an XDR™ drive body and is constructed from a single-piece machined steel for weight savings. All Zipp wheels from 2012 onwards are XDR™ compatible.

This cassette is designed for road bikes. It is recommended for use with the Sram Red Flattop chain and the SRAM Red AXS group. The gear ratio is 10-33 teeth: 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 17, 19, 21, 24, 28, 33.

Deep Range™ technology was designed to enhance the modern road driving experience. It offers a wider gear range, but that range is also better. It has "depth": a smoother, more purposeful gear spacing.

The XDR drive body is a universal mounting system for cassettes with cogs smaller than 11 teeth. It allows for lighter, more versatile drivetrains without the need for new axle standards, hub modifications, or even new cassette tools.
