It incorporates our proven hydraulic braking platform, now boosted to 12 speeds to work with our 1x Eagle and XPLR drivetrain choices. We've incorporated the ergonomics of our AXS controls for optimized control and comfort for the widest range of hand sizes. The Reach Adjust feature allows for customization, and the Stealth-a-majig hose connector makes installation quick and easy.

While there's no need for a shifting mechanism on the left shifter, the Apex disc brake is still packed with features. We've optimized the hood shape to fit a wide range of hand sizes and included Reach Adjust for additional customization.

The SRAM Apex mechanical rear derailleur is designed for those who want their bike to do it all. With a wide gear range and smooth shifting, the Apex XPLR derailleur is the perfect tool for unmatched simplicity with a 1x or single chainring drivetrain. It allows you to shift quietly and quickly on our 12-speed cassettes with large 44T cogs, ensuring you always have the right gear at your disposal.

This derailleur is compatible with cassettes with large 44T cogs and is used with a Flattop chain. It works with Apex and Eagle 12-speed mechanical shifters. The derailleur features a clutch that controls chain tension for consistent shifting. Bleeding Edge™ (trailing edge)
On this new brake fluid circuit, the bleeder port has been moved to the underside of the brake caliper and all four piston holes can access it. This way, during bleeding, the brake caliper naturally fills with fluid, allowing for easier and more consistent bleeding.

Contact point adjustment

Some people like the immediate power transmission of a short lever. Others prefer the feel of a longer lever. The pressure point adjustment allows you to determine the position your fingers should be in when the brakes are applied. This allows you to quickly and easily adjust the feel of your brakes to your needs without having to move the brake pads. In addition, both brake levers can be adjusted so that the feel is exactly the same.
